Our cost is designed to cater to a wide range of clients, including children (from 5 years and up), students, pensioners, veterans, senior card and healthcare cardholders. We understand that your needs are unique, and our pricing structure reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality care to all.
Standard Ear Wax Removal Fees
- In-Clinic Appointment: $120
- Home Visit Appointment: $150*
*Note: As of January 2026, home visit appointments located more than 30 minutes from any of our clinic sites or over 20km each way will incur a flat fee of $180.
Concession Appointment Ear Wax Removal Fees
(Available for Children, Pensioners, Students, Healthcare Card Holders, and Senior Card Holders.)
- In-Clinic Appointment: $100
- Home Visit Appointment: $130*

Note: Microsuction ear wax removal is generally not covered by Medicare. However, if you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM) stating Audiology from your GP, you may be eligible to receive a partial Medicare rebate.
If you hold Private Health Insurance, you may also be able to claim a rebate depending on your level of cover.
REGULAR RETURN RATE
Return Client Rates
For clients who return within 6 months or more frequently, we offer a $10 discount on each follow-up appointment—applies to both standard and concession rates, for either in-clinic or home visits.
In some cases, a follow-up visit is required to fully clear remaining wax if the wax is too complex to remove at the initial appointment, or too hard in the ear.
Follow-up within 4 weeks (if more wax remains) → Half-price session, for example:
- $60 (standard)
- $50 (concession)
- $65 / $75 (standard home visits)
- $90 (for further-away home visits i.e. located more than 30 minutes from any of our clinic sites or over 20km each way)
Follow-up after 4 weeks → Normal session fees apply (with $10 return discount if within 6 months).
This ensures you only pay for the care you need, with clear and transparent pricing..
Loyalty Discount
We value our returning clients! Every 5th visit automatically receives 10% off our standard return appointment rate — no voucher or code needed.
NO WAX FOUND
If no ear wax is present upon ear inspection, there will be a flat consultation fee of $80 for all clients, regardless of private or concession status.
If you were referred by a friend or family member, you can enjoy a 10% discount on your initial visit with us. This discount applies to both standard and concession appointment fees.
NON-WAX Removal Services
If you’re experiencing concerns other than ear wax build-up, we also provide audiology consultations for conditions such as tinnitus or hearing loss. During these sessions, we’ll discuss your symptoms, provide professional advice, and explore management options.
Consultation Fee: $80 per 30-minute session
Note: This fee applies only to non-wax related services. If wax is present and requires removal, it will be handled as part of our standard ear wax removal service.

FAMILY & FRIENDS REFERRAL DISCOUNT

Pediatric Hearing Asssessments
Fixed Rates for All Patients

Please ring 1300 327 349 / email info@suctionears.com.au to make a booking. A GP referral is required for pediatric hearing assessments.
Duration:
The assessment takes approximately 60 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes allocated for case notes and specialist reporting.
Referral Requirement:
A medical referral from a GP, pediatrician, or specialist is required.
Medicare Rebates:
We can process your Medicare rebate on your behalf with a signed consent form. Typically, rebates are deposited into your bank account within 24 hours. Please note that if you choose to use Medicare, you cannot claim through private health insurance.
Private Health Insurance:
If you have audiology extras, you may check with your provider using item code 904 to determine your rebate eligibility.
Work-related Hearing Assessments
Fixed Rate for All Patients

Duration:
Each assessment runs for approximately 45 minutes in-clinic, plus an additional 15 minutes for case notes and reporting.
Referral Requirement:
Please bring a copy of your employment letter or request for report.
Payment & Reimbursement:
Payment is required in full on the day of your appointment. You can then submit the receipt to your employer for reimbursement. Alternatively, you may be able to claim this cost in your tax return at the end of the financial year.
