Water Protectors
GN Hearing Water Protectors are earmoulds specifically designed to protect the ear from water during activities such as swimming and surfing. They assist with the prevention of ear disease and infection, and reduce common irritations that are associated with water sports.
GN Hearing Water Protectors feature removal cord. Available in a range of colours.

People with conditions such as these will most likely be advised by their doctor to keep their ears clean and dry while healing to avoid further complications and infection.
GN Hearing Water Protectors work to protect your ears against water and moisture during water sport activities. They come in a range of fun colours and are designed to include a safety cord to ensure they stay together and are not easily lost during water sports.
The Procedure
At Suction Ears, getting custom earplugs is a straightforward and professional process designed to ensure the perfect fit for your ears. Here’s what to expect:
1. Initial Consultation During your appointment, our audiologists will discuss your ear health and determine whether custom earplugs are suitable for your needs.
2. Ear Examination and Impressions After examining your ears, we will take detailed impressions of your ear canals. These impressions are essential for creating custom plugs tailored specifically to the shape and size of your ears.
3. The Impression Process
- A cotton block (or otoblock) is gently inserted into your ears to protect the eardrum.
- Soft putty is placed in the ear canal, which hardens to create an exact imprint of your ear.
- This process is completely safe and typically takes 2-3 minutes per ear.
4. Sending Impressions for Manufacturing Once the impressions are taken, they will be sent to a manufacturer to craft your custom earplugs.
5. Fitting and Final Adjustments In approximately two weeks, your custom earplugs will be ready. You’ll return for a fitting to ensure they provide optimal comfort and protection.
